I’m Humberto Rodriguez, a leader, entrepreneur, storyteller, and visionary with over 20 years in leadership, empowering communities, and inspiring individuals to reach their fullest potential. While I’ve achieved meaningful successes along the way, my career has been shaped as much by failure as by triumph. It is in those moments of challenge that I’ve learned my most valuable lessons and developed the resilience that defines my approach to leadership.
Rooted in Resilience
My journey began as the son of migrant parents in a rural community, where life was defined by struggle and perseverance. My father’s deportations during critical times in my childhood, the loss of my mother to cancer when I was just 12, and the realities of growing up in poverty as part of a single-parent household shaped who I am today. These experiences taught me empathy, grit, and the importance of using hardship as a springboard for growth, not just for myself but for others as well.
Failures have been a constant teacher in my life, but they’ve also fueled my drive to rise above my circumstances and help others do the same.
A Career Built on Purpose and Lessons Learned
Over two decades, I’ve dedicated my career to leading with authenticity, creating innovative solutions, and building systems that empower people to thrive. Most recently, As the CEO of a behavioral health agency providing mental health, substance use, and medication management services, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team to create meaningful change in our community.
But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Building something worthwhile means facing challenges head-on, learning from mistakes, and being willing to adapt. My failures have taught me resilience, humility, and the importance of staying true to my mission, even when the road is unclear.
From developing programs that break down systemic barriers to fostering safe spaces for healing, my work reflects my unwavering belief in the power of connection and community.

My upcoming books, including Authentic and Impactful Leadership, reflect on my journey, blending themes of resilience, leadership, and legacy.
The stories I share are not about perfection, they’re about the messy, difficult, and often beautiful process of growing into the person and leader you were meant to be.

I’ve come to understand that true leadership is not about being perfect; it’s about being authentic. It’s about embracing failure, learning from it, and using those lessons to empower others.
Whether mentoring emerging leaders, coaching executives, or creating tools like leadership journals, my focus has always been on helping people navigate their own challenges with integrity and confidence. Leadership isn’t about avoiding mistakes, it’s about how you rise after making them and what you teach others in the process.
Life Beyond Leadership
Away from work, husband, I’m a father of 6, and steward of a 120-year-old farmhouse surrounded by the beauty of nature. My children’s curiosity and creativity inspire me daily and remind me of the importance of staying grounded in family, heritage, and values. My Hispanic roots have instilled a deep sense of community, resilience, and a responsibility to give back.
